Ground Transportation
Services for People with Disabilities
Most ground transportation providers at TUS are able to accommodate passengers with disabilities. Please call specific companies ahead of time to make reservations for special needs.
Bus Service
Sun Tran, Tucson’s public bus system, provides services to/from the airport every half hour. Current schedules are available in baggage claim at the Airport Information Centers.
Rental Cars
Seven rental car companies are located in the Rental Car Building immediately adjacent to the terminal.
Shared-ride Van Service
Arizona Stagecoach operates shared-ride van service after each arriving flight. A reservation desk is located in baggage claim inside the terminal in the center. Service includes transportation to hotels, resorts, and business or residence locations. Hotel/resort rates range from $4.50 to $41 per person. Rates to residences and businesses range from $12 to $54 per person. Second and additional family, group, and round trip discounts are available. (As of January 2008, this company has one wheelchair accessible van.)
Taxi Service
Three companies under contract with Tucson Airport Authority provide taxi service from TUS. Rates are $4.50 flag drop, $2.00 per mile, and $22 per hour waiting time. There is no extra charge for baggage or more than one person going to the same location.
Luxury Car Service
Two companies provide executive sedan service in luxury vehicles available to meet all arriving flights. Service counters are located in baggage claim inside the terminal in the center. Service to outlying communities in Arizona is available.
